Request status indicates where the request is currently is in its lifecycle ('workflow').
There are 5 default request statuses in runsimply:
- Open - Request is in the initial 'Open' state, ready for the assignee to start work on it.
- In Progress - Request is being actively worked on at the moment by the assignee.
- Resolved - A resolution has been identified or implemented, and this request is awaiting verification by the reporter.
- Reopened - Request is now being re-examined.
- Closed - Request is complete.
If your organization has need for different request statuses you can add them.
List of request statuses in the system can be accessed by click on setup button 1, then Request section 2 in setup menu followed by click on Request Statuses button 3.
Create a request status
Once you open a list of request statuses you can add a new one by clicking on New Request Status button 4 which opens appropriate form.
General tab contains basic request status data.
Icon is a visual representation of the request type used in various pages where it is displayed.
Order index is property which will be used to sort statuses where multiples of them are displayed.
After you have entered the values for the new request status, press Save button to save it.
