Activity and History sections of a task display changes on a task but in different level of detail.
Activity messages are displayed as actions done on most important task's properties, unlike history which displays concrete change of each affected property.
Activity
Activity message 1 has concise content about change without going too much into details. As shown, you can see that task is postponed and when it has happened (time of change is at the bottom of the message). These messages are also displayed in the activity stream.
You can comment on the activity by selecting it and clicking on Add comment and select to notify other users.
NOTE: Consecutive changes done by one user are grouped.
History
History message 2 shows detailed change to the property of the task. It is shown who made the change, when, and what are old and new values.
NOTE: Changes made simultaneously are grouped together. That has happened for finish and start date in message 2
When the task was postponed it's start and finish date were changed. That change is displayed in two ways. There is simple way in activity 1 and detailed way in history 2.
