Groupings are used to group displayed data by one or more fields. Groupings can have many grouping fields in which case a group will have inner groups, they will have further inner groups and so on.
NOTE: Try not to add too many fields in your groupings. Adding up to three groupings is optimal. Adding more than that can make your display list less clear.
Like filters and views, new groupings are private by default and only you as their creator can access them but you can make groupings public so that anyone can use them.
NOTE: If you often use a particular grouping for analyzing your data, you might be better off creating a new report with that grouping. You might even want to embed such a report directly into your dashboard to make it even easier to access your data.
